Data logging

All that has to do with the power train, gearbox, clutch, fuels and lubricants, etc. Generally the mechanical side of Formula One.

Data logging

Post

Hi guys,

This is the first time that I am posting a topic on this forum.
So hello everyone :D

At the moment I am busy with a project for my school. I am working on a project about data acquisition systems and datalogging.
I am seaching for information but most of the usefull information
stay inside the racing teams.

So if there is anyone with some usefull information, data/data examples/books/articles/websites or something else please send it to me.

Thanks

Johan

Well, Johan, the weekend is over, so I do not know if you still need something.

Article on LapSim: http://www.bosch-motorsport.com/content ... ations.pdf

Bosch software for data acquisition and simulation (WinDarab y LapSim): http://www.bosch-motorsport.com/content ... l/3050.htm

They sell cards and sensors that are really affordable. We even use them down here... You can find them at Bosch site. They have been my entrance to race simulations. I still do not know if they have competitors, but I would love to know.

Their software is free (and their hardware sure aint!!). Try downloading i2 pro, has a sample datalog file from an actual track test. Good stuff..
Grip is a four letter word. All opinions are my own and not those of current or previous employers.
