Everyone is, of course, free to make up their own mind about Ferrari's performance. Personally, I'm going to give them more than two days to figure out the car's all pull rod suspension, tire wear characteristics, exhaust configuration, aerodynamic properties, cooling requirements, KERS integration, etc., not to mention all of the "little" things for which the team does NOT have to start from scratch, those teething problems that are inherent with testing a new car.
And I'd certainly like to reserve judgment on the F2012 until the team's two-time World Champion gets behind the wheel for at least a lap or two.
It's also probably worth noting that McLaren's MP4/26 was left for dead at the conclusion of the winter tests last year.
