Ok, Ben has been noted. Luke (astracrazy) is now part of the RicME team. You may want to change your team name or something? Idk?

Hey, guys. What is the best software for modeling F1 car within regulations? How about Autodesk Inventor?
Fernando Alonso is the best pay-to-drive driver in F1 with the biggest amount of money behind him.

Hey, I'm interest in getting involved. RicME85 could you email me the starter pack stuff - the CAD models you were talking about.

I've designed an F1 car in cad before but not to regulations, but I've just recently started doing one to regs. I use SolidEdge, SolidWorks and Inventor.

Excellent, PM me your email address and I will forward the bits on to you.

Ive just looked at your thread, lovely work, I like your front wing, maybe its something that could be incorporated into our car?

I originally was thinking about a MP4-27 style nose matched to something like the FW34's wing so that there isnt much in the mid section where the nose attaches thus allowing more air under the nose.

I have seen models from Codemasters F1 2010 PC Game, although they are accurate, and show parts of the car you wouldn't normally see, they have a poor poly count. I believe you can just convert them straight from the game files, using 3DSimEd or something similar.

Ive been doing a bit of work myself, really most of it is just getting used to google Sketchup.
The plan behind the scenes was to make a list of components to be created, throw some ideas around and someone say what they are going to make.
fussell not being able to open the files I have uploaded to our team Dropbox isnt helping, I assume he is using different software.
astracrazy has been working on an airbox idea, the last I heard was that he couldnt get it to look right, I asked him to possible share it so that different eyes might help but havent heard anything recently.

Ive got a nose, front wing and sidepods 'sorted'. All rather crude but if push comes to shove they can be thrown together for the start of the season in an HRT/Team Lotus kinda of way.

The team was in negotiations with Emirates Airlines yesterday, the original offer being this:
We have a very strong proposal for your formula one team. We would like to become a very large part of it. We have been attracted to your team, and feel it is best suited to what we want to achieve. We would like our company name featured in the name of the team. We want the team to be called ‘Emirates Racing’ as it has a nice ring to it although something along the lines of ‘Emirates RicME Motorsport’ is negotiable. We are very interested and excited by the prospect of this deal.

Here are our proposals:

Sponsorship Type: Title Sponsor

Where our logo must feature: Team Logo
Engine Cover
Rear Wing
Nosecone
Driver Overalls
Team Wear
Pit Wear
Motorhomes
Pit Garages

Additional Clauses: The car livery must be predominantly red.
I didnt like the name idea and didnt want to be forced on colour so played hardball and declined the offer. They came back with a revised offer of:
Sponsorship Type: Main Sponsor

Where our logo must feature: Engine Cover
Rear Wing
Driver Overalls
Team Wear
Pit Wear
Motorhomes
Pit Garages

I'll try, will need to figure out how you produce the nice smoothed images to be able to do so.

Much prefer the privateer sound of the name currently and if I decide to jump into bed with a big sponsor at some in the future it certainly wont be Emirates ;)

Don't need to be smoothened, just share the raw stuff! Most of the cars are rendered in Kerkythea using the Sketchup plugin.
