Ferrari F2012

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

1'18"877 now, autosprint (italian magazine and website) says this time was done thanks to new components, new idraulics and new exausts.

Just curios, the RB and McL don't have soft with theire 1:19. laps?

It was quite soon after begining so the temp. must be still low. I'm glad of that. I don't need the best lap time, but stil is beter than 1:20.

In the site they give credit for the improved performance to new parts arrived overnight: new hydraulics and new exhausts.
The former may be just for fixing yesterday's reliability gremilin; the latter may be something visually different. Hope to see some pictures then.

Edit: No it's the same as day one in regards to position & where it's pointing.

I thought so too at first. It was only after looking at various pictures I could see they were the same. i believe most of the new parts being tested are internal and we'll see some other bodywork type stuff at the next test.

It happens to all of us from time to time. A couple of pages ago, I thought Ferrari ran the car at some point yesterday with either all front tires or all rear tires. (In my defense, teams have actually done that before.)

(mx_tifoso is gonna throw a fit with all of those quoted pictures. )
