Ferrari F2012

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

It's some wiring to some sensors at the rear. It's covered in gold to reflect heat to stop the wires melting.

It comes from that red bit with the word Acer written on it.

Everything behind the exhausts gets cooked to a degree regardless of the angle in which they're pointed, and temporary wiring isn't exactly robust.

It's a conspiracy and Ferrari actually have a loop-hole EBD octopus exhaust layour.

The tape could be just what was handy to use. There is no heat to actually worry about.

Could they be measuring the side wall temp?

Could be that area of diffuozor some heat source material which discarge termal energiy from engine? And a point that they could energise flow beneth an on the side of difuzor and eventualy seal it? Could be? But it is just a theory acording that pics is it!

I loooking foward to Barcelona test an envetually they (Ferrari) will reweal the truth about Rory masterpice of engineering...
