Ferrari F2012

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

It's not a pretty arrow, but it does its job.

EDIT: I understand. It's damn difficult to distrust what your eyes seem to tell you.

this pic is from jerez, right?
Maybe you're not getting what I'm saying. I'm saying that at the red line, the floor 90's down and does nothing more. Above the red line is the floor. I'm saying there is nothing that runs parallel with the floor past where the floor drops.

EDIT2: Hey, that wasn't quoted. I needed that!

Yes, you underlined the part in question. It's visibly horizontal. If you can't see that, ask yourself, how do you see a reflection of light if there's nothing horizontal there to reflect it?

EDIT: Again, I understand the dilemma. It's really difficult to go against what your eyes seem to be telling you.

(You may want to resize those other monsters or just post links. I think they're far too big for a forum.)

Like I said above, that's not what I'm talking about.

This is what I'm saying is different

If the floor 90'd down and came out, you wouldn't be able to see as much of the light at the very bottom that you can currently see. It would be obstructed.

I'm on the verge of wetting my shorts from laughter.

That horizontal part is in both pictures, buddy. I've circled it, I've pointed to it and I've justified its existence by pointing out its reflection of light.

Crucial, I have to agree with bhallg2k here. They are identical from what I can see.

The eyes can be very cruel. But better this than going home with the ugly one at the end of the night.

Just keep looking. You'll see it.

On another note, unless my eyes are playing tricks on me, the exhaust changed from it's position earlier in the day

This is how I see it, where all those lines are orthogonal to each other.

I've never disputed that was the floor. I'm talking about below those lines. It 90's straight down. Which is different from the others.

Seen below those lines (but actually behind the part in question) are the strakes of the diffuser!

I don't really want to say anything now but those exhausts also look the same.
