Not bad, When you going to launch your final car?RicME85 wrote:Right, still no input from the other guys
I have a design concept but Im struggling to produce the final product, be it perfect joins between components or fitting in the reg boxes.
Here is the concept anyway:

When designing, you should design parts together, thinking about the flow and transition between them. Think of the car as 1 solid piece, not different 'parts' that way you get an understanding on how to make it flow.RicME85 wrote:Right, still no input from the other guys

Exactley!! thats how I do it!! Although my wheelbase is different, I always start with the tub, and create the nose and then work on the engine cover, then sidepods and mould it all into one and never just stick parts onjordangp wrote:When designing, you should design parts together, thinking about the flow and transition between them. Also you should NEVER design a part, and then try and get it to fit into the reg boxes. Always start with the reg boxes, with an open mind, and design into the space you're given. That way you can't really go wrong.
Nice car, but where is the driver side head protection?RicME85 wrote:[img]http://www.otf2.com/forums/gallery/imag ... d=1678[img]
But the bot behind the drivers head is also part of the headrest, yet you have that fitted?RicME85 wrote:yet to be fitted, just like the suspension
I dont understand the order which this is being built in, I made the headrest all one part and then tapered it down, jordangp wrote:But the bot behind the drivers head is also part of the headrest, yet you have that fitted?RicME85 wrote:yet to be fitted, just like the suspension
Its fine, I think its a fantastic first attempt, I just would have put the headrests on firstRicME85 wrote:Does it matter?
Im really not good at this but Im trying my best. Im learning as Im going, I only wanted info on the game but ended up having my arm twisted into joining.
The guys who said they would help have gone quite and Im trying to get the car built before the season starts on my own.
I started with the basics that were given in the started pack and due to the lack of skill have had to create bits and pieces from scratch and 'bolt' them on.
Its not the best car but Im trying.
render it and go into photoshop and apply the livery, I did it on Paint.net,RicME85 wrote:[img]http://www.otf2.com/forums/gallery/imag ... d=1680[img]
How do you do a livery on the 3D model?
