I'm not talking about the chrome support, I'm talking about the slot in the carbon. And there is only speculation of how the wing works & what it looks like.

The slot probably is there to slide in a plate to attach the wing, or to insert a tool for doing so.

Look closely to the leading edge of the third element. Although from my understanding, the slots were under the wing.
More could have been done.

Cutting edge of the last wingplate, just at that support.

Its probably for more Downforce.
@EvilTwin if theorie works, there are two openings of f-duct. one on the top for the straight and one under the wing for the corners.

Looks like some floor that you can see behind the end plate is being deceiving.
You're looking in the wrong place. Right click>view image

I'm not saying this is their F-Duct FW. I just saw the post on the website & thought it was interesting. That slot is there for some reason or another. What I don't know.

This specific wing was not ran all weekend. Only at certain times.

Still can't see anything, sorry. It just looks like a black vane underneath and some of the ground as well.

I was referring to the downward bends on the edges of new rear wing. Looked more like scoops to me.

A lot of different opinions about what I found yesterday on Mercedes front wing. Here is a better picture i.imgur.com/lfwSJ.jpg #F1

Perhaps they just placed a small airchannel to relieve air from that "hinge", so the hinge won't affect the aero performance of the whole endplate that much?
