Incorrect, the combined upwash of wing and simian sofa definitely interacts with the didduser

I would like to know in what way since below that is the crash box, so unless you create a low pressure zone through the whole crashbox I do not see how it has an effect on the diffuser

The low pressure zone will propagate AROUND the (narrow)crash structure.(We are talking about fluid not solids)

Just because you stick the crash structure into a low pressure zone doesn't eliminate that low pressure zone

Yeah I know about that, but do you honestly think it is something even noticable? I am 100% sure the area will be almost exactly the same as without the 'monkey seat'. And with almost it will be 99.9999% the same

I believe that that main wing, simian sofa,and diffuser all combined will definitely augment these devices and make each of them slightly more powerful. That's just how I see it. I'm no F1 aerodynamicist but I AM studying aeronautics at college

Well, STR sure uses a "special" method for aero testing, or it has a secret weapon to confuse the cars behind at the start so they can't see the red lights going off.

I believe it's a Ferrari box, but don't quote me.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think I've read some years ago, they were using Red Bull gearbox modified for Ferrari engine. It's quite logical when you consider, up to RB5/STR4 it was pretty much the same car with the same rear suspension. Mounting points on Ferrari box were back then prepared for push-rod (it was also the reason Sauber had push-rod), while STR4 had already pull-rod back.
