That pole lap was when harsh reality kicked in for all the other teams. Vettel and RedBull had Arrived. Big time.

Bulls were over 20 kph faster in some of the corners that day. hehe. It is not going to happen this time around though.

What are conditions going to be like over the weekend?

Weather forecast from The Weather Channel. Side note, Sky has the weather as being sunny all weekend long, Friday included.

These are the decimal odds from BetFair for qualifying and race results. Not so different to WDC odds. So I have not bothered to make a pie chart. Perhaps I will do later.

In qualifying is still some hope for the Alonso fans. They see their man in P4.

In the race Alonso is set for P5. So the start of the season looks very bad for Ferrari.

I reckon pit stop strategy is going to play a big part this weekend. For Melbourne, it will be Soft (yellow) and Medium (white)

Pirelli mentioned that the tyre life for this year will be shorter, so are we going to see more teams doing a stopper instead of 2? what is the performance difference between medium and soft? Will it be possible to do a 1 stopper for this year?

Local weather forecast, Definite chance of rain Friday, some chance Sunday, could make things complicated and muddy the waters when trying to determine relative pace of the teams.

New kerb at exit of T4. Too much over the kerb could lead them to left hand side wall.

I doubt the cars would jump. They'd damage the underfloors though. The kerb seems of the same ilk as the one they installed in Catalunya Turn 8. And why are there grooved tyre marks on the racing line? Has someone done racing laps there?

Would be fun if the track remains wet on Sunday and someone fancies a move there. ;)

I think that's actually a shame.

Is this the first time with two zones but only one detection point?
