I personally wouldn't underestimate Red Bull, Adrian Newey, or Sebastian Vettel.

It's funny how people get upset about a little airflow control at the back end, when there are all kinds of fins, wings, etc., all over the front ends of the cars. And that air still has the rest of the car to flow over and around!

Vettel's time was 0.530s off Hamilton's time. James Allen reports a 5 tenth difference between the compounds - and with a very crude adjustment based off that that puts Vettel at 0.030s off Hamilton. Sounds like we'll have a mega qualifying then between probably the two fastest guys on the grid!

This is what F1 should have been before double diffusers and EBD!
Cars are hard to keep on track! We just need 200hp more..

I would be up for completely flat bottoms, front to rear, with no undercuts, smaller wings, and fatter tires with huge slip angles. Kobayashi would rule - sideways!

We should take the time gap between Hamilton (O) and Vettel (P) during lap before Vettel spin out as Hamilton will be 4 laps of fuel lighter when he top the time sheet.
And that is 0.38sec without consider that Vettel was improving on his s1 time before he spin out.

I agree, it is going to be very close.

We can't say that. For all we know Vettel could have been on his last lap of fuel. Also Hamilton will have 4 laps more deg on his tyres by then.

We have IndyCar for that :)

I believe Vettel got the first pole. he looked really quick on those hard tries. I hope to be wrong though... :)

Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

Well Peter Windsor says ALO will get pole and the title. So we can safely assume ALO won't be in the running for either of those.
