ah come on guys, that was disappointing, sure, but you can't go doomsday on them.
The car did show some good flashes, better than ever before. I mean Michael was defending from Vettel for 3rd! not defending from a toro rosso in 12th!

Next race will be better

The story was that in the hands of Michael, the car seemed to be faster than Ferrari
while in the hands of Nico not so much....which is interesting..

So here we go again, one of the biggest car manufacturer Mercedes failed to be on podium. You guys are like Liverpool fans, you will never win unless you spend more money like Man City

could it be ...this is the result of dropping the first test ? They still lack a bit of understanding of tyre on this car + schumacher had reliability problems...being late is always going to be a drawback ..see RedBull .
Unless you are miles ahead on out and out speed .unfortunatelly they don´t have that luxury.

i think merc carry to much aerodynamics they think f-duct give them enough speed on straight but in the Race Vettel was 10kph faster than Michael on DRS zone. Last year Mclaren with DRS can't overtake a Mercedes.

And today webbers redbull could not overtake rosberg whilst it was using DRS for several laps. Using Michael's stat's from this race would be totally inaccurate because from lap 5-6 on wards he was dealing with gearbox issues loosing drive and playing with the gears etc etc.

i don't think so .... he had this problem when he hit the grass or mb 1 lap before. Merc need to find a better mixture between aerodynamic and pure speed because DRS can be used 1 time per lap in the best case ... at the moment Merc can't fight with Mclaren in race but can be on podium after them.

I have the feelingit was rosberg who was struggling todays.Schumacher did not look like he was going to lose out vs vettel ,but i could be wrong it was still early days.
Australia is a very special track ,as is malysia .as michael said we will have to wait till barcelona to get a clear pic

No he hit the grass because he had the gearbox problem and didn't want the car to be forced into a spin.

From what we saw today and less than a week till Malaysia, things are not looking good at all.
The car appeared noticeably slower at apex compared to the others only defending by superior straight line speed.
If what Ross said is true about cold temps and tire degradation maybe the heat in Malaysia will help, but usually higher temps produce worse degradation. I don't see how that is really a correct statement just pr BS. Definitely things are not looking good. Race pace looked like 6th in team pecking order.

I have oddly enough decided to offer a reversed wager, if AMG don't win a race this year I'll eat that baclava!

Judging from today's race, good thing I really enjoy baclava, how much will I have to eat JET?
