Does the E20 suffers reliability or It's Kimi who's unlucky?
'cause after Steering , KERS and now Gearbox problems I'm seriously doubting about that.. :|
Following Kimi's career, you know he is prone to horrible luck. It's just one of those sad things.
He drove across the grass, picking up huge chunks of luck that blocked the radiator. The cooling for the gearbox was no longer adequate, and sustained damage as a result.

Sometimes you make your own luck.

Their race sim pace was awful today (I'm not saying they are slow, but I judge the facts) as well in Melbourne.
wow, can you tell me the fuel weights of all the cars?
All we seen is 1 race where one of the car boke down and other car had problems, and even Perilli said there is no excess degradation in Merc

still that doesnt stop people from saying such sh!t
When the 5 top cars witch are close in performance start lapping in the 1:44, and 1:45 in FP2, that means they started doing a race sim with full tanks
Yeah right, if only that was as simple as that

I think McLaren are still faster in the race - but the tyres aren't holding together for them as well as for Red Bull. In a sort of self-equalising way; they're as much faster than Red Bull as their tyre wear is worse. It's funny - a complete role reversal to last year.
I agree, I think the Mclaren has the best of both. Not sure about the tyres though, read somewhere today that the Mclarens tyres were looking good after both practices... can't find where I read that though, thought it was Gary Anderson BBC

did someone notice that Shumi in FP2, when he set personal best time, he have at first split 0,4 sec better time then Hamilton best, second split advantage is 0,1 sec, and at the end Shumi are slower then Hamilton. Did Shumi deliberately go slower after first split time?

Schumacher

I am thinking along the same line as well as tyre degradation will be a big issue this weekend. I am expecting Mclaren to do a 3 stopper, while RBR might even go for 2.

renault doing a few light fuel "race sims" if you can even call them that doesnt make them faster than mclaren.

get your head out of cloud cuckoo land man and back to reality where kimi has that 5 place grid drop
We all know that the hype around Merc since 2010 is mainly due to the Brawn epic season and due to Schumacher's presence, but not due to their performances...
the hype around renault is what?
rebranding to lotus to live of another teams legacy  #-o
kimi returning and his fans [-o< he does well after having enough of crashign rally cars =D>

There is no way a Red Bull is going to beat a McLaren on pure race pace in Sepang unless it heaves down bucket loads of rain or tyre degradation of biblical proportions hampers McLaren.

They have it sown up IMO. Just keep it on the black stuff and we will be looking at a Macca 1-2 or 1-3 with Sebs RB as meat in the sandwich.

What are the odds for the pole gap this week? I earned a nice tidy sum last week.....

Funny how people write off the BOSS after one race. He couldn't heat up his tyres in AUS for whatever reason, but that is the past, this race is about learning to set up the car on medium and hards in high temps. I would be surprised if Hamilton hasn't learned what to do to get the medium tyre started.

I think if (assuming the Mclarens lock out the front row again) Hamilton makes the first corner first, he will be best placed to win. I would actually prefer it if he gets there first because then we will get a good race out of him and Button.

Red Bulls will be in there, although if they have a poor show in qualifying again, they will lose any opportunity to win the race in the first 10 laps.

If it's dry, Hamilton by 0.2 to Button. Another 0.25 from Button to the next Merc.
