schumacher gets the exact same wage from mercedes but more than makes up for it in personal sponsorship deals.

That is the finding of business magazine Forbes, according to its latest annual ranking of the world’s 50 highest paid athletes.

German Schumacher, 42, appears at number 9 on the list with a reported US $34 million in earnings.

The number takes into consideration not only his Mercedes retainer but, according to Forbes, an athletes’ “bonuses, prize money, appearance fees, licensing and endorsement income”.

Schumacher is therefore two places higher than Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso, with $32 million.

My point is that if my app can pick up a messed up reading on which tyre a driver is on - yours can too. It's accurate maybe 99.9% of the time, but there's obviously still a margin of error.

it does look very suspect , the cup holder things apear to lack any "real" depth compared to some other parts of the image and i suspect the entrances to the ducts are photoshopped on also.

The whole Mercedes team suffers for years because they overpaid MSC believing that his comeback will equal his 8th title. When MSC began underachieving in the first season, they made changes on the car which he demanded. That only ruined Nico's results as it took him time to get used to modified car. Nico was still twice better.

In following year Nico had shown again that MSC is too old and/or unable to win with serious competition and without dominant car. That obviously wasn't enough for Mercedes to get over their 100 mil. wasted in contract with MSC, so they've promoted MSC and No1 driver for 2012, made car to suit just him, totally disregarding Nico.

Since 2012, Nico is in Mercedes what Massa, Barrichello and Irivine were to MSC at Ferrari. Not to mention that Brawn is in the team. As I mentioned, expect furious reaction from Keke very soon, because he won't tolerate their wiping floor with Nico for the sake of MSC's vanity.

W03 isn't a dog because Mercedes has bad engineers and facilities, no. That car is a dog because there are people on top who are MSC junkies, hooked on fairytale of his greatness, so much that they are letting him make demands about car design, which in fact might have intention to make car even more uncompetitive, so that he could have excuse for not delivering what was expected from him.

That is what we really have been looking for. I see the knee jerk reaction post that it is 'Photoshopped'. Along with the picture re-posted by Crucial we can now see the ducting. No fluidic switch - air directly from rear wing is used to stall the front wing.
This gives them their qualifying speed but can not be used in the race = why there is such a difference in pace.
EDIT. Wait a second. Was there not an electrical connector for the camera in the center bottom on the picture where the shield with red dot was fitted. I will page back & check.

EDIT 2: Looks the same except the TV thing is not mounted. The CF plate in the front has a cover across the top partly hiding some of the stuff at the top. The brake tanks are also disconnected & hanging by their hoses.

Actually, I see a bit different what is going on in MGP this season.
Unlike previous two season, this car was tailored 100% up to MSC demands. Keke is still silent, but not for long I hope. Nico isn't underachieving, he was silently demoted to backup driver, and that was main NO-NO when Keke made the deal with Mercedes. Just wait and see how internal events in team will develop. Mercedes has shown such unprofessional vanity, favoring MSC no matter what, even though it already proved as wrong every time they've made changes on the car upon his requests in previous two seasons.

When Rosberg came in it seemed like it was because his tyres were shot. Him and MS were doing slow laps (although he was slower than MS).

He swapped the tyres, MS stayed out and MS was still faster. If it was the tyres he would have caught him, but he dropped even further back.

Are we certain this is the source of the primary flow that goes forward? I have found an actual test on a flush hole used on an aircraft fuselage that indicates the pressure just inside such an opening like this is ambient. I know there is high pressure in this are, but this hole very close to the trailing edge where the pressure should drop with the DRS flap up. It is hard to understand why the flow would want to enter the hole. This is certainly not a forward facing duct that we have seen in years past.

Could this be a rearward facing NACA duct? It is not clear that the floor of the hole has the correct shape. This would mean the duct is trying to draw flow out.
