Anyone believe 1:35 will be broken on pole here? W03 might just be in the mid to upper 1:34 range.

Hard ro see 1:34 from any team. Last year was 1:33.7

rain is on the radar for all three days
Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

4 days are not very far away, I say we see a wet/mixed quali and/or wet/mixed race.

It's unreliable enough to produce conflicting forecasts:

Well... if Schumacher does get on the front row and they manage to get the tires right and it rains it will be fun to watch. :D

Depends where you are. In the Texas, sure, you could easily make a forecast from 4 days out that's correct. In the UK, no chance – you might have the general structure of the weather down, but be a day or two out with when it happens, or be a a few hundred miles out with where it happens. I don't know what the climate is like in this bit of China, but it does seem rather unpredictable weather from past years, so I very much doubt that forecasts from 4 days out are reliable.

I remember saying something along the lines of wet/damp practice sessions, lottery qualifying with a drying line and a "what passes for sunny in China" race.

Is it just me or have the gearbox gods decided that this will not be a merciful year? seems to me like we've already had a lot of premature gearbox changes...
