The Government will sandbag the seats and give out free tickets to the loyalist Sunni citizens.
If someone said to me that you can have three wishes, my first would have been to get into racing, my second to be in Formula 1, my third to drive for Ferrari.

I will definitely watch the race and I am really looking forward to this Shanghai/Bahrain back-to-back/double header.

They keep telling us for many years now that this is a show.
Well, as we all know: "The show must go on."

For now I am going with Bernie, Jackie and the seven time World Champion Michael Schumacher.
What has Jackie has to do with this bunch of crooks? It is not nice to use his name just to give some credibility to other two who have absolutely none.

F1 legend Michael Schumacher insists that Bahrain can safely stage its grand prix.
He is not F1 legend, he is a contemporary mid-filed driver with shameful and corrupt past, beaten by his current teammate 2 seasons in a row.

Camera posistions at Bahrain are in such a layout where they dont take in many grand stands. Only the main straight, the stand on the back straight where the GP2 pits are and partial views of one or two others are shown. Of in effect they could put sandbag dummies in those stands.

Ill watch the race, however it will be on my Sky+ as im working. Im not condoning what is going on there as i have made my views clear on this subject, im just watching it as i think the Bahrain International Circuit is an good track and one of the better Tilke tracks.

I just hope that F1 can get in and out of Bahrain with no incedent, same goes for GP2 who will have 10 days there with their Back to Back race there. However i can see this race being more famous than San Marino 94 or USA 05 on the news channels as i do think that something will no doubt happen some where, inside or outside the BIC Security bubble.

How can Manchild possibly say that Schumacher isn't an F1 legend? He's the sports most prolific winner by an unbelievable margin, and you don't achieve what he's achieved by giving your competitors low fives if you're suggesting that he is a dirty driver.

He won't like the fact that shareholders of the CVC aren't too happy and if Sh*t hits the fan, they will want his head.

Last 10 minutes reported, I reckon this week will be painted in blood and its all because of Formula 1 siding with the Royals...sigh.

The whole problem is occuring only because they made a race out to be more than it is. It's supposed to be a sporting event, nothing more. It is now become some sort of symbol for 'uniting' the country. It has set a very bad precedent. The governing body of F1 should take serious action against the Bahrain race organisers.

Like what? The Bahraini Royals have a puppet master in the FIA pulling strings, they own 50% of Macca.

They don't care so long as their balances are topped up.

Sometimes there needs to be a massacre for people to wake up and realise we are all mortal and they need to be forced to have some humility.

I agree with Maelstrom, they have overstated the significance of the race. The cancelling of last years race has more than adequately shown the stance that the FIA takes on the situation in Bahrain, and little good that did. I'm glad the race is going ahead and hopefully the protesters won't target the wrong people and the event will run smoothly.

I don't care who they are or what they own. They need to be heavily penalised. This race cannot go on as it is. It will leave a heavy stain on the sport if an ugly incident occurs.

And a massacre helping people wake up? I don't know. What's likely to happen is that innocent people will die/get hurt that don't need to.

I have no problem with this race even in current conditions. But F1 needs to release a statement saying that this is a sporting event and nothing more and that it doesn't support any side to this conflict. A heavy fine on the race penalisers should help diffuse the situation even more.
