What's the thing with the 3 red lights behind the car - thermal imaging, something boring like a cooling fan with LEDs?
(or are they "being hunted":) )
Yeah, Predator I think.

Why do you think silver and grey are the most common colours in cars? A red, yellow or white car is a terrible thing for scratches, dirt, and all the mess.

I'm not saying the manufacturing is perfect or good as McLaren's, but colour usually improves it or makes imperfections painfully obvious.

if you look closer at RB8 it is full of imperfections too, but with that color you cant notice it easily. and these days high res pictures show more than ever before. it doesn't matter if ferrari's rearwiev mirror atachment is o.3 mm off.

Any thoughts on the new rear wing?
I am interested in thoughts about:
1. The 2 v-slots
2. The 4, instead of 3, slots on the endplates
3. Not sure about this, but longer chord length?

Can anyone please elaborate the most feasible benefits of these updates?

Thank you very much.

Well, after seeing strange fittings in Sepang I was a little scaried, but on quali's everything seemed well in place and fitted. I believe they're fitting rough parts on fp1/2 just to be able to change/modify them on the fly while testing.

could be...they were covering their FWs on Thursday...i suggested when i saw them that there might be an f-duct even though they said in their recent Q&A that they wouldnt be looking at such thing any time soon..also why would they cover them when there are no real changes in the FWs..

Here you can see the different configurations they were running today:

On the FW you can see that they have a cut out on the back where the upper element meets the end plate on Massas car but not on Alonsos. And if I'm not mistaken, the inner (towards the nose) element of the cascades is wider on Alonsos FW.

Interesting to note that they have added big spacers on the RW that were not there on the old wing. And that these are aligned with the notches. Any ideas aero guys?

The mirrors also differ.

the 'spacers' you are referring to are the slot gap separators...i dont know why they would need two though..

So Ferrari are saying that the upgrades are a step forward, but the car's not necessarily suited to this track. That would lead me to believe that that pipe can't possibly be an FW F-Duct, which is surely very suited to Shanghai (look at Schumi's performance).

But then again, if they're covering it up, I guess it's because they don't want people to know they have it, so they would say that!
