Ahh crap, I should not post while doing too many things at the same time Who was the other example in 2009 then?raymondu999 wrote:I'm quite sure he drove a Brawn in 2009Mandrake wrote:Button in the McLaren in 2009.
Exchanging 1 part is 1 thing, building a whole car another. Had they built the RB8 solely around Vettel it would most probably have looked differently. I think it's more a case of RedBull building their car and puts their drivers into it, "regardless" of what they prefer.ell66 wrote:silverstone 2010 is all the proof you need.
oh and button was in a brawn in 09
Historically Red Bull have run with stint 2 levels of fuel where as McLaren and Mercedes have favoured fuel levels for the 1st stint. So there could be a bit of fuel in it. But still the Mercedes looks like it's suffering a bit.Pandabeer wrote:Hm, i hope Schumacher did not have the same fuel in the car as e.g Vettel. If you just compare VET with MSC. Vettel did 7 laps where the slowest was a 1:43,780 and MSC did 8 laps where almost every lap was in the mid 1:44. But the last two laps of MSC gives me a bit of hope.
the last two laps have been done after a pit stop...no big hope I fear....Pandabeer wrote:Hm, i hope Schumacher did not have the same fuel in the car as e.g Vettel. If you just compare VET with MSC. True, but i do not know what they have done while the pitstop. Did he get fresh tyres? I also don't know how long the pitstop was, if it was a longer one, maybe they changed something in the setup.motobaleno wrote:the last two laps have been done after a pit stop...no big hope I fear....Pandabeer wrote:Hm, i hope Schumacher did not have the same fuel in the car as e.g Vettel. It's also worth thinking about if they were testing their tyres to find optimal settings. Maybe it wasn't about pace at all but tyre testing.Ferraripilot wrote:From what I saw of the heavy fuel load runs on similar tires to other teams, W03 appeared quicker than RB8 but a tenth or so slower than Mp4-27.
