I would like to compare the long-run times of different teams. The data would be very handy so I can find out who has real pace over race distance.

Thanks you.
fia official website. Go to F1 media center and click on timing info
The FIA F1 site will not show you the Lap Chart info during Free Practice, that seems to only work for the race. I was wanting a Lap Chart for FP3, do you know if I can find that anywhere?

Bird hits Rosberg’s helmet in Bahrain practice

By Forumula1.com Staff on Saturday, April 21, 2012

Nico Rosberg escaped unscathed but the bird was not so lucky, after a 200kph collision in Bahrain during Friday practice.

Bild newspaper reports that the Shanghai winner, and Friday afternoon’s fastest in the island Kingdom, came to blows with a wayward feathered-friend as Rosberg’s Mercedes circulated the Sakhir circuit. Video and photo footage depicted the 26-year-old German driver returning to the pits with bloodied feathers stuck in his visor.

“I thought, God, what’s that?!” Rosberg told the newspaper. “It was a violent impact, pushing my head right back. The bird exploded on the helmet, but nothing else happened,” he said.

In 1960, British F1 driver Alan Stacey died at Spa-Francorchamps, after a bird smashed through his visor.

Rosberg wears a state-of-the-art EUR 12,000 Schuberth helmet.

Thank God he's alright. Shades of Hungary 2009 with Massa with the rear ARB (IIRC?) off Barrichello's car. Slightly off topic; but birds do unfortunately get killed in quite a few forms of motorsport. The WTCC Monza race also saw Yvan Muller hit a bird under braking into the de la Roggia.

Hamilton has made a mistake in S2, will probably back off and try again.

Times are still well down on previous sessions though so expect them to do a second lap with the tyres at better temperatures.

Alonso just about goes quickest but using the option tyres. Ferrari are nowhere this weekend!

Surprised to see Red Bull fall back so much. I'm sure they'll be a little closer when on options, but this would point to them running less fuel in FP than some of the others.

Saubers are going to run on options. Vettel is out for another run on primes as is Webber.
