JFYI, there was a very slight drizzle on the circuit few minutes ago. But it has stopped now. Another twist in the tale then.

EDIT: It's pretty cloudy out there now. Track temp is a lot cooler than the previous two days.

Quali yesterday was at 30°C air and 42°C track temp. Could be really interesting if it's much colder.

If it rains everybody's strategies and car setups will go for a toss. Mercs will probably be the big losers since they have such narrow margins to turn on their tyres.

Don't forget - P2 starts off-line. The dirty side is somewhat rubbish to memory. Did anyone see the GP2 start? How did the P2/4/6 boys start?

Im not sure if anyone answered already, But in Race 2 today James Calado led into turn 1 from 4th on the grid.

Surely all of the grid is evened out with the dusty sandy enviroment

What are we all thinking on strategy? I think optimum will be OPPP. Or maybe if you're a bit more daring you can try OOPPP or OOOPP. OOPP will make Raikkonen's Chinese GP tyres look like superglue

What I find interesting is Hamilton saying "it's a toss up between 2 and 3 stops"... Did he fluff his lines, or do McLaren really have a setup so good that they can run one stop less than everyone else.

I was suprised by that to, id heard it was between a 3 and 4 stop race. I dont see how a 2 stop is possible with every team saying the struggling to keep the tyres together.

Hmm... Schumy could start the race from the pit on wets.. he's always been great in the rain. If the car setup isn't completely wrong he could score some points.

Well it was said that McLaren were working hard on making the options last whereas everyone else was working on the primes. Perhaps they've managed to make the first stint stretch enough that they think they can do a two stop race, whereas the others will be pitting soon enough that they'll struggle to make the primes stretch far enough?

The difference between the two tyres is only supposed to be a few laps, it's not night and day, but if the others are burning the options then maybe it's that much more difficult for them. Lewis has set up the car with a very high speed configuration so is either going to be trying to protect the tyres but keeping cornering speeds a few percent lower but then making it up on the straights, or he's setting it up for overtaking knowing that he'll be stopping out of sync or more frequently.

Im sure they do, but like the android version you have to pay for it, and its not cheap, Android price £19.99 and i think you have to renew that each year!!

Their free app for this season is just a demo, i was charged of about 20 euros for the official one... It's 1 euro per race, quite fair if you consider the tons of info you get.
