Just noticed, thanks for pointing it out, that the bit I chopped off to make it legal I had obviously undone when playing around with Alt+Backspace too many times.

Definitely looking more like an F1 car now!

Congrats Richard on the 9th place for Buemi.

You're now on equal terms with Monster, ahead of Lamborghini and Burns GP

Wow, just checked the results.
Thanks.

What happened to Rubens, issues during the race? Seems to be a long way off the pace.

Unfortunately not, Im still getting to grips with Sketchup. I have seen your thread however and was impressed with your work.

Decided to go all out and test my newly found skills by building a new car totally from scratch.
I have even built my own tub rather than use the FS starter pack tub like I did with my current car.
Doesnt look like much at the moment but its been a days worth of work that has gone into it.

It appears you have a bit of a gap down the middle from when it was mirrored. otherwise looking good.

Diffuser is illegal I'm sure, middle strakes extend back further than rear wheel centre line, it looks slightly out of the 500mm central area allowed (I'm happy to be proven wrong) , also the abrupt curve inwards on the step plane will create turbulent flow and destroy flow to the central section of the diffuser, reducing downforce,

Its ok...as you can see I got there in the end and got a car on the grid. Had a double points finish at the last race with a 9th and 10th :)

For rendering I use Kerkythea and its Sketchup plugin. Absolute doddle to use.
