Every reasonable report coming out of maranello consistently states the team has no intent to change their acer exhaust concept or front suspension for that matter. All these delusions people have been offering re the exhaust going the way of Macca or Sauber are just that--a dilution. I may eat my words here, but after scouring this site for the last 2 months or so, nothing ever out of maranello has stated anything other than the acer duct is the way they are going and thats it. Same with the pull rod fronts.Teechnical wrote:Please enlighten me thenChuckjr wrote:It seems Ferrari have no intent to go the Macca or Sauber way.

No. It looks like it's for cooling purposes (most likely the pull rod damper). A few other teams have similar inlets.alogoc wrote:http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/2456/ferrinlet.jpg
isn't this a tunnel simillar to the one RB ditched?
And they're still going back and forth with the exhaust angles.Mazdaboy wrote:Flow vis on the floor under the exhaust:
supposedly the reason is because the new exhaust and bodywork is arriving tonight and will be tested tomorrow...and because of the rain yesterday they didn't get to test the exhaust used in the first 4 races so they did that today...bhallg2k wrote:And they're still going back and forth with the exhaust angles.Mazdaboy wrote:Flow vis on the floor under the exhaust:
"Seriously, tho, Gary Anderson says he's heard Ferrari's new rear bodywork may not appear in Mugello, maybe only Spain. He's not sure, though"amouzouris wrote:supposedly the reason is because the new exhaust and bodywork is arriving tonight and will be tested tomorrow...and because of the rain yesterday they didn't get to test the exhaust used in the first 4 races so they did that today...bhallg2k wrote:And they're still going back and forth with the exhaust angles.Mazdaboy wrote:Flow vis on the floor under the exhaust:
It looks like to me as we r seeing a crossover tunnel like one Red bull have in their car, but recently RB ditch them as it makes exhaust gas unstable and unpredictable......Crucial_Xtreme wrote:OmniCorse reports Ferrari mechanics will work late into the day today as new parts will arrive from Maranello for Fernando to test tomorrow.

Marc Gene = test driver. He supposedly said it to some Spanish TV station. However, it is really hard to find the original source. Seems like rumor and hearsay. I mean, take a look at this query: https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1__ ... 00&bih=785. The top result is this forum and the 4th result is Crucial Extreme's twitter handleWho's Gene?
Crucial Extreme, who seems to be some sort of Jedi knight or something with all things Ferrari has continually and emphatically stated that this acer system is what they are going with. I may be totally on drugs with that conclusion, but I don't remember ever seeing him support a change from the acer system or the pull rod for that matter. Ive yet to see that guy miss the mark by much, so that's mostly how I have come to these conclusions.
Furthermore, why would they be jacking around with acer still and making all these expensive options and trying them if it was a sauber or macca solution they were running towards? None of the pics coming out of maranello or any race or any test have even hinted that they were abandoning the acer ducts. Please, show me the evidence they are going with sauber or macca solutions and I would be glad to shut up about it. The evidence just does not seem to support a change from acer. Please, prove me wrong. I welcome it. I just want something to work on this car no matter what the solution is.
