Moment Method and graphs build up.....

Just to begin, this is a steady state sim where vehicle forward speed and turn radius are arbitrary.

I've gone through excel calculated my yaw rate for a given turn radius, chose vehicle speed, wheel base etc. etc. I've gotten so far as to even calculate and graph my endpoints for my MMM graph. Now I could go from here print out a graph and draw my front and rear tire limits, but I want to calculate this for many different combinations of Beta's and delta's not to mention speed and turn radii.

My only question is how can I get my front and rear tire limits?? Can I even do this in excel? I don't mind going to matlab for this if someone knows how to graph this on there but I am not very familiar with writing some of the code that goes into matlab other than doing some laplace transform stuff.

So, any help?

Not entirely following you. You mention wanting to continue this approach for many combinations of beta and delta... is that not what you're doing already? That's the entire premise of the untrimmed map approach.

Nor am I entirely understanding what you mean by finding the tire limits in Excel. Tire limits... in what sense?

Yes of course! You are correct, I am basically changing beta and delta, im starting slow and going to build up to more plots at different delta's and beta's.

I'm essentially following on from page 105 in the rcvd companion work book. where you are basically graphing Ay= +/-1.3g Cn=+/-0.65 and Ay==/-1.3g and Cn=-/+0.65.

I have graphed these outer points and I know that these are the middle points along the front and rear tire slope lines respectively... Just trying to figure out how to get the lines to interconnect so to speak...
