Calling All 3D Artists

Post

Hi All

I make 3D simulator models for racing sims. Busy times.

I'm interested to see what 3DS Max skills are out there, with specific focus on track and car modeling. Done some nice work on rFactor? Had some time with EA or Codemasters??..etc

I'd love to see samples of your F1 3D Art/Sim models posted here. Renders or ingame screengrabs are fine.

Pros and Hobby builders. I'm very curious to see what resource is out there. If you KNOW of any such artists, please get them to stop by and post a shot of their work.

I'll start with an opener, Sakhir Tower in Bahrain. A render of course as the sim it was used in could'nt do it justice...lol. 8)

Lets see what you can do then maybe keep an eye out for a PM from me.

(To the Moderators. I realise this post may seem quite cryptic and a bit odd, however I am not a recruitment agency, nor can your sister earn $234,987 a week just sat at home on her laptop, I am however looking for skilled 3D F1 Artists for a "secret project". If there is a problem with this post, can you please contact me on PM to discuss? I will make any changes you see fit. Many thanks)

If you are shy and don't want to post here direct, drop me a PM.

I'm not kidding here folks. Think Willy Wonka and the Golden Ticket and you are part way there. 8)

Most of the people here are cad junkies using surface and solid modelling.
I'm suprised at the lack responses, given the level of enthusiasm around this site.

Try a cross link in another similar thread.

Hi Elmerfud, and thanks, will give it a go. :)

If I could just spit out exactly what work we are offering, I think people would kick our door in to get involved, but I can't, until people get in touch and I can talk to them privately....so I geuss we're not only looking for track/car builders with 3DS Max experience......but "curious" ones too......lol.

Cheers

Carl

What type of simulation will it be?

Arcade like PCARS, F1 2011?

A simcade title like GT5, Forza?

Or a notch higher like GTR2, Rfactor?

Or the hardcore Assetto Corsa, iRacing etc?

I can't PM you. I don't have the skills, but you may be more successful here:

There's quite a thriving community, as far as I can tell.

Hi Nando

This work would suit the 3DS Max using, track and car building, rFactor user. It would suit them down to the ground.

Sorry about that, i thought you were going to create a game.
Realize that wasn´t the case. But thanks for the info.

I wish i knew this type of stuff but 3DS is so time consuming to learn/master :)
Probably did 2% of a car and some basic wheel rim tutorials a few years ago.

Only have about thirteen years experience using 3ds max and every other piece of 3d software under the sun. Made this guy a few years back: Image

Pretty much the only car I somewhat completed, but that's what I can do. It's not terribly awesome, but I didn't spend too much time on it.
