Ferrari F2012

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Indeed I do. This is the new diffuser ran in pre-season testing. Only difference to the one now looks to be the shape of the strakes

That might just be the single most encouraging development I've seen thus far on the F2012. It means they're at least approaching original design intentions.

Agreed. Although one of the cars was using the old diffuser.

Near the brembo logo i see a small hole similar to redbull that exits behind to the channeled area.

Any ideas?

Whats with the new nose, has it made appearance? Hadn't seen any differences... Is it even in Catalunya? :)

I've seen comments about GAs imagination, but I doubt he is that much unprofessional...
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

I got tricked by that too. on the high res photos you can see its a reflection of the pull rod and upper wishbone.

i looked an C_X's hi res photo. it actually looks like an inlet that pulls air under the pull rod pickup point and then it exits just ahead of the starter hole in the diffuser. thats the way i see it.

That was present in Mugello, but it wasn't always open.

does anyone else think that the part of the diffuser that you can see where the pull rod meets the floor is open on both sides? u can also see debris in the very high res photo

i think that that small hole is for cooling...

Yeah it's been there all season but as you said, never open.

Not sure if we're changing to the new floor or old floor here
