Toro Rosso STR7 Ferrari

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Look at the transition between the tub and sidepod below the intake. Why would that angle (almost 90 degrees) be a good thing?

You build high pressure to force air down to the floor. check for example evoultion mid season on the ferrari f2007 (back in 2007) in that zone

A ramp of some kind would get all that air to the floor with less drag. With this solution air goes through the double floor and into the intakes as well (but I don't have CFD and the rest)

I think it is difficult to make a suitable ramp, because of the flat bottom rule (no bodywok should be visibel from underneath9, so you get a vertical wall as best compromise

I do not understand why the high pressure can not just as well go away from the floor.

The whole side is the double floors, its not actually 2 floors, its just alot more floor then other teams cause they dont use standard sidepods and cokebottle design.
