That was incredible, I don't know how it was 3.5s, I thought it was quicker when I watched it live. I think it's interesting that the rear right is done the opposite way to normal. It solved the problem that Lewis had when he ran over the old tyre anyway.

Why is it a problem I and others use the word we? It's such a small thing it's quite funny it gets on some peoples nerves. Millions of fans of different sports identify themselves with the teams they support. Especially Tifosi. Especially Italian people like myself. Does this mean every one of my posts will be edited when I use the word we?

i don't use "we" for Ferrari, but it cracks me up when people act bothered by it. I certainly think a mod editing your post is a bit "dictatorial", to borrow from the name of a currently popular thread.

I remember the days when I got stoned in the pit for saying "we" when referring to Mclaren. haha.

I think it's good as it shows allegiance. Of course I am no longer aligned with Mclaren anymore.

its something i do think is a little off. i used to think it was the identifier for an extremist fan but calling people out for it is just a waste of time. its simply how some people talk and doing anything other than carrying on with the discussion is a waste of time.

The use of "we" merely underlines the emotion, the passion fans feel for their favorite team. Racing is, after all, a competiton of men, of human beings, not just machines, computers and simulators. Yet, there seems to be an active effort to eliminate the human element from this forum.

I have followed Ferrari for over 50 years, through good times and bad. I feel joy and pain in synch with their results. I guess we have reached the point where only dry, unemotional posts can escape censorship and derision by a particular mod.

I think there has been a huge misunderstanding in here about hthe term "WE"; quite clearly it has to be an accronimous of WhoEver.

Accronimous are quite popular in english these days, you see... I'm sure that by keeping in mind that they are generally written in capital letters (so, WE), WE will have no problem with it...

Sorry; I thought about writing a long answer about cultural perceptions, differnet languages, etc, but it would have probably been edited or moved, so most likely not worth the effort...

Haha hilarious I don't feel allegiance to any team, maybe that's why it sounds kind of funny when fellow posters use it that way. But if that's how they like it, no use in being too intrusive... IMHO.

Man I could not agree more. I try to be understanding but this has gotten out of hand.

Count yourself that the moderators here are pretty friendly. I recently had a look over on the NoGripRacing forum. I made 1 post, that I would normally post here, and they found 5 breaches of their forum rules. You literally have to read an FIA sized set of regulations before you can post. Ridiculous, thank god everyone here is nice, and generally helpful.

I can see that the us of 'we' could be annoying, if the user of the word is pretending to know everything about the topic, and the team, with nothing to back it up with.

However, generally, I think it's good that people associate themselves, with what is essentially 'their' team. Then again, I get where the mods are coming from, but gotta say Richard was being a bit anal about that edit.

Actually, the target of my comments were the generic nature of many posts in the F2012 thread. The comment about “we” was a little aside.

Posts such as “how can we get downforce” or “how can we update the exhausts” are no different to posts saying “how can we make this car go faster”. They are not technical nor specific to the F2012.

I also thought "man looking over fence" should be in the team thread.

Finally just look at who actually edited out the "we". Some chap called Tomba. If people are going to get personal about this then at least get the facts right.
