is suppose it would give at least a tenth...as the central part is now detached and sits in 'clean' air now it can make much more downforce...with this you can also reduce a bit the AoA of the RW and gain a bit of top speed!
Good drawings Z. It should also be noted the actual shape of the beam wing has been changed too. It's now more "twisty" whereas the old one was flat & straight.
I still
cannot find
ANY clear up close pictures of the new rear brake duct fins. From what I can see the top of the fins are similar to Red Bull and at the front the duct is low and there's the one element that is at an angle where it looks like it's deflecting/directing air flow downwards. I just wish I could get some good up close detailed shots.
Obviously the car still has work to do, needs more updates but I think sector 3 in Montmelo showed we've have improved significantly the low speed traction & grip issues. We were amongst the fastest all weekend. Even on low fuel. Hopefully new updates will improve this even further.
Gary Anderson is still on about the vertical radiators and/or about how the flow from them exits. I'm curious to see if we will change the radiator layout or if we will change the outlet to a more conventional style. Possibly with the new Engine cover we saw in Malaysia although it would be modified now.
I also don't think Ferrari need to pursue DDRS. I think it's a waste of time and would take away from more fruitful development. I don't think it gives a large enough advantage. I do expect to possibly see a revised exhaust possibly. But maybe not as Fernando said they shouldn't waste time on it, there are more important things. I think he's probably echoing the sentiment of the development team.
X those pull-rods were working great in Spain. :p I was proud.
