I don't know why, but, I get the feeling it'll be processional. Vettel will romp to victory from P1, as always.

Hope I'm wrong.

Posts alleging drug use have been moved to the fanboy ying yang thread if they had a few sentences, those with emoticons were simply deleted as they were pointless.

This behavior from our members is shameful.

Sorry. To me that standup routine is just hilarious.

Anyway, to redeem myself I would like to ask whether the number of fresh sets of tires available to each driver is unimportant for this race as the number of stops is predicted to be so low.

I think the only way to stop Vettel would be rainshowers or him in an accident.
Is there a clean side of the track in this Race?

Watch the video and you can see, after such quick acceleration following the hairpin at 0:59, exactly how short his gearing is.

Does anyone know if Webber is similarly geared?

Errr.... why?

Looks like it'll be a one stopper, so they'll be looking after their tyres, with Vettel pulling away at the front. Our only hope for a good race, at the front at least, is if Hamilton or Alonso get ahead at the start. Failing that then maybe Hamilton and Alonso will be able to fight it out. My other hope is that McLaren have sacrificed a whole heap of qualifying speed in order to get better race pace.

The tyres look like they're too conservative so we're likely to see the drivers trying to save them and go for a one stop race. Here our biggest hope is probably with Hamilton pitting early and forcing the others to react. The high chance of a safety car will mean that they won't be able to risk one stopping if there is a fast two stopper in the field.

Vettel's pole lap was great, Hamilton really screwed up the chicane though. The only problem I have with F1 now is that Vettel is on pole, the same thing will happen that always happens on pole, he races away about two seconds, then sits there at the front until he wins. I'm looking forward to the race between everyone else though.

Going off the speed trap figures from Qualifying then yes. Redbulls were 23rd and 24th. Despite this, Vettel from fastest in sector 3.

How so? He drove it faster than at any other point that weekend. His biggest loss was consistently in the first sector where he was only 7th quickest and two tenths off the pace.

I suspect that they balanced the car expecting hotter temperatures in today's race, which whilst probably the right approach is a bit risky if the temperatures don't pan out as forecast.
