I bet McLaren almost pissed themselves when they realized Alonso and Vettel weren't stopping. Would have been Armageddon.

Looked to me as if they weren't thinking at all. That was a really odd gamble they took, odds were definitely less then 50%

More durable tyres = best race this year so far.
I tend to agree on that one
Was the opposite in Monaco.

You have to remember that it wasn't the tyres that were the problem in this race, it was Alonso and Vettel trying for a one stop race. Others managed to make it work, but they (Alonso and Vettel) were pushing the tyres harder earlier in the stint.

The last seven laps from Alonso were excruciating to see. Ferrari lost so many points with their strategy!

But Perez on the podium is wonderful!

Richly deserved by Hamilton.
When the only effort you have to put forth to pass a driver is pushing a button on your steering wheel, yes there is blame for it. It's utter bullshit that even overtaking on straights in Formula 1 has come down to who gets to push a button and who doesn't. Tires have absolutely nothing to do with going faster on a straight, and any driver can ruin his tires without any input of design change from Pirelli. Pirelli have no control over the FIA making stupid decision like having DRS. Tires got the drivers to the rear of the driver(s) they were trying to pass, but some stupid gimmick let them fly right past without so much as a wave. DRS is bullshit and it needs to be gotten rid of.

Hamilton, Grosjean, Perez..

..is this the first all GP2-graduate podium in F1..?

At least Fox is going to deny me the chance of seeing the podium interviews. So I won't get to hear Lewis after he got his first very much deserved win this year. I wish they'd quit showing Scherzinger and instead show the people that do have talent.

Good job Lewis! =D>

I think Alonso and Vettel switched to one-stop strategies after Hamilton's poor stops. It was clearly the wrong move for both.

In hindsight I think the quickest strategy was Option-Option-Prime. I wasn't too wide off the mark with my Option-Prime-Prime prediction though
