Pursuing a career in motorsports

Hello to all,

I'm an engineering student from India currently pursuing my bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, I still have a year to go in my course and have decided to pursue a Post Graduate degree once I've completed my UG. I have a real interest in motor-sports (especially motoGP, Formula1 and WRC) and I would like to work as an engineer in a motor-sports team. What future course should i take in order to achieve this goal? What are the difficulties involved along such a route? What do potential employers look for? What subject should i specialize in for my Post Graduate degree (I'm considering going abroad for my PG... in which country is it most advisable to pursue a PG for this particular field?) If anyone can shed light on any (or all) of these topics it would be really great. I'm at a point in my education where i have to make a decision about my career, so i would really appreciate any sort of help.
