massa on soft was quicker than anyone and alonso on medium was matching the likes of rosberg and button in softer tires.

I personally don't believe there is a "new exhaust". Only the Canada spec exhaust with a slot for cooling. Thing is they can cover that hole with no problems which in my opinion is what they did. But you could see in FP2 that the cooling slot was open. Not sure about FP1. Don't recall seeing it, but not sure.

What would happen to the flow on the section of white barge board that is 90 deg to oncoming flow? Would the flow just trip over it? Seems like there would be a lot of turbulence.
