Actually no, he did not. He had two wheels back on the racetrack and both drivers were going parallel, whhen Hamilton decided to try making the apex of the upcoming corner and turned into him Maldo. Yes, Maldonado could have relented but Hamilton really couldn't expect him to. I.e. both were being stupid.
