A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

I don't think they are. Look at the front wings in the picture on top of Picture #4, it's the new wing. Also, if you look closely you can see the new exhaust cutout thats like the McClaren has been running.

Interesting, that they still didn't add strakes on top of the front of the sidepod.

Those vortex generators are on F2012 at the bottom of mirrors and one behind it. We need that kind of flow compared to McL and RB who has those "strikes" on top of sidepod.

well, with more slots it is easier to keep the airflow attached to the surface of the wing under the larger angle of attack. And larger angle of attack produces, in theory, more downforce

I'm a bit tired, so bare with me....... do those gills look like air scoops, or is it just me? I know that it's been discussed a while ago, but those things don't look like air exits...

I think if Ferrari introduce the vortex generator fins ala Redbull they will have to come back to the old mirrors as probably will disturbe the reflected view.

I was wondering if combining Sauber solution with the vortex generator fins of Redbull would be a best solution. Also it would be legal if they don;t touch each other?

What you think?

It may have been noted already but little detailed changes in the floor & diffuser for Germany. The wedge shape/cut out in the floor next to the rear tyre is new. There's other slight changes but I'm too tired to compare them.

New & newer FW

Ferrari added another slot close to the FWEP, but it seems the team is struggling/playing with the top flap shape. Seems they can't find the right combination.
