Former Sauber technical James Key, joins Scuderia Toro Rosso according to this sourceLink

Maybe Key has an urge to come back to the southern way of living ,good wine and food .....distance of Sauber to Toro Rosso is not that far...
Ascanelli back to Ferrari? but in which position ? He left the scuderia after a spell in Sportscars leading the Maserati Sportcar project...
would they need him in F1?

On topic: I hope James Key, and the recent boost of points by 100%, will get Toro Rosso out of their slump and get some much needed points in the next few races. I am really rooting for the new drivers this year too.

Can't help but feel that ultimately, this is an audition for Key - and if he does well, he'll get lined up to replace Adrian at RBR

which cars did he design or has been responsible for? he was data scraper with jordan and got TD only with spyker-Midland FI and was there as they turned around from backmarkers to occasional frontrunners.and was responsible for last years sauber in a ways influencing this year maybe.

The Sauber design converged a bit towards FI style in the rollhoop area last year .
Sauber improved almost instantly with his arrival -so the car was already a good base -and the turnaround was purely setup or a key piece of the puzzle he could just add to the team...but nothing like a whole new concept etc..

Mind you, the 2012 Sauber was probably his project. Maybe he didn't design the concepts directly, but it was his project - he left only 4 days before the car's unveiling

Interesting, they are all based in the UK...

They will join the STR’s UK-based Bicester wind tunnel team (aerodynamic and CFD group) as this team is using the wind tunnel that was previously used by RB (former Jaguar team).

There are rumours that Toro Rosso will get Renault engines from 2014 onwards.
At the same time Force India is linked to Ferrari.
