That means they are aiming to use the special DRS system for race in Hungary?James Allen:We will continue to dial in the new device that we ran in Hockenheim with Kimi. Despite the difficult weather conditions, we did get a good feel of its performance potential from the free practice session and we aim to take it on a step at the Hungaroring.
maybe, if performances of the car with him are much better then without him (this relates with downforce lvl and car stablitiy in corners), they will use it. if it's not and system working but performances are inconsistent (this relates if system is automatic and not depends on DRS button), they will wait probably belgium.MarkedOne8 wrote:That means they are aiming to use the special DRS system for race in Hungary?James Allen:We will continue to dial in the new device that we ran in Hockenheim with Kimi. Pit wall said something along the lines of "the same thing that happened at Silverstone has happened again so loss of rear DF". Points to being unrelated to the F-Duct type system, no idea what it could be mind you! Maybe DRS partly jammed open or something?hardingfv32 wrote:Did not Kimi have radio communications during P2 that is was not working... loss of rear downforce?

Lets not get ahead of ourselves. Weren't the ducts blocked off during quali/race?Matt Somers wrote:Which effectively tells us they are creating DF from those ducts via most probably exiting the air through the lower cooling hole. No point running that engine cover / ducts if you have the normal spec there as it will create more drag.Huntresa wrote:Kimi did however run the airbox with the 2 new ducts in it without the stuff connected to the wing.
they say "too much downforce can hurt you on high speed tracks", lucky hungaroring isn't one of them =D>madly wrote:Alan Permane
Rear wing configuration will run to maximum downforce levels here thanks to the relatively low speed nature of the circuit. As with the rear, maximum downforce is required from the front wing in line with the circuit layout and also to help counter understeer. We will run a new specification of front wing to assist with this.
That's a quite big bulge, somewhat similar to that on the Marussia. But maybe it's just some sort of measurement device (wouldn't know what it would measure, but stll).Huntresa wrote:Thats a reflection right or is taht a bulge?
What's changed. It's "fatter"?techF1LES wrote:New nose cone:
