Ferrari F2012

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Exhaust channel has been moved slightly inwards from what i can see. or the cooling hole next to it has been widened.

You're maybe right cos on photos with "naked" exhaust it seems that the end of new one (with metal plate on it) points more inwards...But then again it could be just an angle...:)

Easier to see in this picture, clearly not the same housing.

Just wondering, could they be trying to clean up the coke bottle area down the rear by pointing the exhaust inward?

That metal part just wasn't fitted in the "old" picture you posted. Nothing new there.

It is very difficult to see because of various angles... Its obvious that the gap between cooling and exhaust holes has become extreme smaller because:
- cooling hole got wider
- or exhaust channel points more inwards...

Looks the same but you may be right. You can see the fitting on the old exhaust so it would always have been attached to it though.

Look at the yellow highlighted area. There´s no metal there and there should be no metal there.

It´s crystal clear it´s a new housing. the question is what has changed, housing or intake.

they are talking about metal part just above exhaust pipe end that creates low pressure pushing exhaust gas down!
not the exhaust housing you highlighted!
