Mercedes AMG F1 W03

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

That is in no way confirmation. I've also seen your facebook page where a lot of people seem to think that you are associated with the team. I assume that you are not?

Ok then, just be careful upload sutton images to the facebook page. Also if you go back a few pages you can see the diffuser has not changed. Composite fitters wont be up to date on everything, he was just saying that if your claim of a new diffuser was correct then dont share it with everyone.

On the Williams documantary that was shown on NatGeo, last year, it was said that on a good day of development with substancial tweaks to the fw, they can gain a tenth with it

I don't know if this little tweaks would account for a full tenth, but maybe the half one you mentioned

Well, I pointed some coloured arrows into all the visible changes for those who aren't on a mood to look for it(well, not that it takes much effort to spot it all, still here it is):
Image

_The red one appears to be the most significant to me because those curves are vortex generators and we all know how much vortices affects aerodynamics. For some reason, they are gonna now

_A gurney, blue/green arrow, on the inner edge of the upper plane is now used and with a "odd" black bump under it(orange arrow)

_The yellow arrows points to the several differences in the planes' connector/adjusters

_finally the small vertical pieces pointed by white arrows. Don't know if those would account for any significant difference, at all, but hey, they must know what they are doing :)

The top one is the new one right with the curved compared to straight part of the area where the cascade used to be

AMuS says no new developments before the summer break - Brawn told them the next upgrade has to be spot on to catch up the lost ground.

Looks like there should be big upgrades after the summer break then.

the R-shaped additional elements have also a different shape in the transition from vertical to horizontal -the curve is now a lot bigger .

The monaco fw looks much like the one on the bottom, but with the cascades still on it.
