Ferrari and Red Bull not looking quick. Mercedes not as bad as some predicted.

Edit: well Ferrari look okay but could end up anywhere in the top 10. Red Bull look like they'll be lucky to make Q3 at this rate, although they must have at least a little bit in hand.

Same old doom-mongerers. Quali is fine, race is the problem all the time...

If I were Hamilton, I would go out straight away on used mediums and see if I could put in a similar lap. In doing that, save tyres. He would have time to get the softs on anyway and go faster.

If this was Hamilton's pace on the primes, it could mean he can be on pole in Q3 with primes.
But if it rains tomorrow, sorry son. LOL.

Does he need to save some option tyres? They'll be racing on the primes as their tyres of choice.

Also there will be a small shift in balance between the tyres so he may not have that safety margin. Better to do a run on the options, make sure you're through, and have time to do another option run if it's needed.
