:? Hmmm..... It looks like something to allow the car to be moved around without damaging the tyres or having them pickup rubbish from the road.

So you think it is just slipped on over the tire?
I thought they had special narrow rims & tires for transport/moving & such. I'll have to search for a pic. of one being used.

I saw this too, and was going to ask what it was for.

My initial thought is it is so its easier to move around. Less rolling resistance.

you can see the seam where its stuck together id guess it just goes on to keep the tires clean

I think NickT hit the nail on the head. I wonder if they are pre-heated, and/or fit inside the tire heaters?
