What do you think of the prospect of a USGP 2012 at Austin Texas

Good thinking. Place has good infra structure and nice climate in winter.

Not good as it has no motor sport tradition in the US.

Honestly..I didn't think it was a bad choice. traditional southwest colors..it'll hide the dirt.

Pup - this track is going to look awesome; stone retaining wall and capet included. What color do you want the carpet to be, some blah plain-jain what....beige color? I'm just thrilled Texas is getting the 1st purpose built F1 tract ever in the US and I know once completed, it will look amazing and offer an amazing race come November.

Charcoal grey with tiny red speckles. Should this be a poll?

I saw Buddy Reed Friday. He said the binder (2nd) layer is complete and the final layer will begin as soon as they're sure they can close the track surface to all traffic. He said he thinks that will likely be sometime in the next month or so.

Love the "hump" to the right of this picture. Not as much elevation change overall as I was expecting though. Perhaps that's because Spa was last weekend and I'm feeling spoilt for hills.
