Ferrari F2012

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

And look at the rear wishbone pickup point attached to the rear body they are also different then previous one. where this one sports more bulge and start few inch ahead of the black are of the rear body work. and i think that the positioning of the beam wing and their end plate is also altered/changed.

can we conclude out of that, that a monkey seat is actually more aero efficient then a rear wing?

im not saying that the rumour is true...but if we are to be proud of being part of a good technical forum..we must examine all the little details and not count anything as stupid or impossible...

to see the difference....

this is from today is Belgium:
Image

they are using the slim bodywork at the back...

this is from the last time they used the same slim bodywork in Germany:
Image

the pickup points are much lower....withing the unpainted cf part of the bodywork...

this is from Hungary where the used the wider bodywork as the temps where higher in Hungary:

they've always been there; it's for the extra heat underneath the engine cover to escape and mix with actual exhaust gas

i think thats where the hot engine air comes out and creates low pressure that pushes exhaust gases down towards diffusore!

How so? Can you tell us what each team have gained by looking at updates?

Anyway, Ferrari were never going to make big changes for Spa and Monza apart from the bespoke packages necessary. Singapore is where the magic will happen and the solutions will be put through its paces at the Magny Cours test.

I think Ferrari have a decent enough package to challenge here.
