Williams FW34 Renault

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

What are those things on the little strakes that go up the rear wing?

They look like gromits to me. They probably clip into the wing surface to retain the strakes.

Maybe used to develop a measurement plain on the curved wing surface.

Many cars have brought that little duct to races this year as the rear slims down and cooling exits move to the beam wing. As far as I'm aware it's just for a bit of pullrod damper cooling.

^ That is interesting. Would be nice to find a shot from a different angle.
