Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

The only positives for Hamilton are that Alonso didn't score any points either, and that this is now two races in a row where a well set up McLaren has been the car to beat. If they can get the consistency in their setup, which was somewhat compromised by the lack of running on Friday, then both McLarens could take a serious haul of points over these last few races.

if mercedes knows their car eats tyres like an animal, why did they ever think of putting MS on a 1 stop?

If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.
