Ferrari F2012

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

wonder what gary anderson has to say about ferrari's decision to drop its FW cascade now that mclaren have done the same.

by his reckoning mcl are as dense as lead since the willingly lost "down force for free". why arent they listening to his advice... really...

It is F2012 FW but from the back side, that's why you are seeing the mounting part of the FW.

Very good, fastest in sector 2 and 3, Macca is faster in Sector 1. The race pace is impressive :D

Scuderia Ferrari‏@InsideFerrari

The gearbox on Fernando's car can be replaced without penalty as this was not a race unit

that looks like hydraulic line, but why hydraulic lines would need to be placed that far back in the car?

AFAIK the DRS is servo operated, it was mentioned a few days earlier in the thread so it rules that out.

All teams DRS use hydraulics, servo's were only used for the 2009 adjustable front wing flap.
