Of course Hamilton is leaving for Brackley and what's more, I hear he's taking Ron Dennis with him!

He has an ego and will want to bolster it as much as possible; the moment he beats Schumi in quali or in race result - and he would - then the ego would balloon.

He's not an imbecile, but his emotions have gotten in the way of his smarter side plenty of times.
This is what will happen yes, minus what was said in the last sentence of course.
Last sentence of the paragraph, or last sentence of the post (for clarity)?

I still think that the Mclaren team is the reason why they not leading the standings this year. The poor pit stops, short fueling Lewis.Every races had a new disaster. I think Lewis loss is due to Withmarsh - and he will have to answer if Mclaren looses a champion driver. Personally I don't blame lewis for leaving- I mean they had the fastest car - but they could not take the advantage.

Mclaren had a rough start to the season with mishaps but one has to take note they have turned a massive corner and are by far the quickest in the pits and no mishaps since a long time.
Compare this to MGP who announce things but fail to deliver constantly.
Mclaren somehow lost the edge after the first races -because of parts of the car they had to change by FIA request .They accepted and now it seems they have clawed back everything they lost back then.

I think Mcl is the best team out there these days.

Forgot Spa already? The engineers ignored the telemetry in FP3. Big mistake not a small.

Haha thats a good one

Why would he trade a team where he has almost every year the chance to win the championship for a team where he will be lucky to have one chance for a race win, if he's lucky and all circumstances are perfectly fitting :wtf:

I think he likes the Idea of a team that will treat him like a champion and not a child.

How is he being treated like a child at McLaren? Children are coddled. Based on everything I've seen, including items noted here and elsewhere, the problem seems to be that McLaren is treating him like a man, whereas he wants to be coddled like a child.

I'm not knockin' it, either. To a certain extent, being handled with kid gloves is the very essence of having #1 status within a Formula One team. But, let's try not to delude ourselves by making things out to be what they're not.

I guess the way one behaves invokes the appropriate treatment.

Indeed; posting telemetry data was nothing but childish.

The team said the telemetry showed the wings to be capable of roughly similar laptimes. How do you know Hami didn't let the car down in Spa quali? To say the team ignored the telemetry is ridiculous. The data is everything to F1 teams.

Perhaps, but when yo know you're being treated unfailry what other options do you have?

Prost was being treated unfairly by Honda so he gave a trophy away. They hurt you, eventually you snap and hurt them right back where it hurts most.

BEcause the bits thats missing is that Hamilton felt he could make up more time with the Low downforce wing. He left that he could compensate in the high downforce section of the track. He felt the team were not being totally open and honest with him. It would not be the first time these feelings have been related by Hamilton thanks to McLaren.

Actually, we do know that he let the car down in Spa quali.

He made mistakes at La Source and the bus stop, both areas of the track where his setup was not a disadvantage.
