Great news about Kubica, really glad to hear he is slowly coming back.
I get that, but Ferrari ain't gonna give him a friday drive and testing is limited. We all wanna see how RK has recovered. Ferrari have some leverage over TR and Sauber, plus it would be good PR for the team that gives him a first drive.
Why couldn't Ferrari pay HRT to give up a Friday for him?

Because HRT has its own paying drivers that stay in line for Fridays. A drive at Torro Rosso is highly unlikely and at Sauber I doubt it will happen.

In the best case scenario Ferrari can put him in several tests with a two year old car, as Lotus did with Kimi before winter testing this year. There is still a long way to go until we get at that stage though and the most important thing at the moment is that Robert has the confidence to get into a rally car or any other type of competition car and that he thinks forward, he wants to compete and to come back in F1.

It is clear that this is very small rally but anyway it is great to see this after 19 months of silence and pure speculations.

Kubica: Myself and Alonso would’ve been a great pair in Ferrari

After seeing the pics, I'm not so sure that his hand would allow him to return in F1 (as I have some experience with damaged muscles/movement of articulations altered myself).

You're welcome

Wel, he is going to burn them down, nearly 30sec advantage over second driver after two stages. Next week will be even more interesting.

I have to say that whilst it's great he's back in the car and doing well, his wrist still seems to be at a very awkward angle. Maybe this means the stories that he's struggling to use his wrist at an angle compatible with the layout of the F1 cockpit are true.

He wouldn't have that much elbow room in an F1 car:

I wonder what sort of function he has in those extensor muscles given the visible damage to the posterior aspect of his arm.

Who are these drivers he´s racing against? Are they any good? I don't have the time to do research right now...
The speed of Ayrton Senna.
The mind of Alain Prost.
The dedication of Michael Schumacher.
The determination of Alex Zanardi.

I told you guys he was hiding his arm before!

It is not too bad looking but he better get some meat on that chicken wing.

From a cosmetic point of view it's not too bad looking, muscle atrophy aside. But if you look his wrist is in the exact same position in each photo and his fingers have barely moved, even when gripping the steering wheel. To me that looks like he has very little movement in the hand and wrist, both of which are going to make a comeback very difficult. I hate to be all doom and gloom but I feel it's important to counterbalance some of the wildly optimistic stances taken in this thread.

As it stands, and without improvement to his wrist, he couldn't even fit in an F1 car and get both hands on the wheel. It's great that he's back behind the wheel, but be under no illusion that he doesn't still have a very long way to go.
