considering he won the event by a whole minute and every other driver was italian im going to go out on a limb and assume they are all "locals" to the eventWho are these drivers he´s racing against? Are they any good? I don't have the time to do research right now...

moving it to the other side isnt going to help if he cant accurately adjust it.marcush. wrote:I´m sure you can design the car to have that lever on the right side...Zanardi won in WTCC without legs ....I see no unsurmountable problem.
Speed is a head thing not something you learn or have in your fingertips.Kubica is hungry -very hungry instead of fighting for a world championship he had to recover from injury...BUT he is experienced as well..the question is how much is he asking in terms of salary ..or is he willing to give some discount to a top team willing to sign him?
The hand has many intrinsic muscles which move the thumb, little finger, close and open the palm etc. These muscles are necessary to oppose the force of the fingers when gripping an object. As I understand it, Kubica suffered extensive damage to his hand as well as his forearm. How is just 3 more months going to do it for his recovery, and how can you tell by just looking at superficial scaring?godlameroso wrote:The thing is when you steer it's mostly in the shoulders and biceps, your forearm does very little aside from moving your fingers as your hand has no muscles only tendons. Don't believe me, open and close your hand and see what part of your arm has to flex. I say in 3 more months of rehab he'll be back and good enough to drive anything.
I hope it doesn't throw off his bowling game.
One requies pinch grip to operate the dials on the steering input as well as strong grip to counteract the reactive forces transmitted to the steering column.godlameroso wrote:Like I said most of the steering is done with the shoulders biceps and wrists, you don't need the grip of a rock climber to steer, so don't count him out yet.
In fact, one of the things Brundle keeps commenting on about how to drive a qually lap really fast is that you very specifically don't want a tight grip on the steering wheel – you don't want to tense your body up.godlameroso wrote:Like I said most of the steering is done with the shoulders biceps and wrists, you don't need the grip of a rock climber to steer, so don't count him out yet.
