Circuit of The Americas today announced that it has been declared ready to host the 2012 F1 United States GP by Charlie Whiting, who directs racing, safety and technical matters for the FIA. Whiting visited the Central Texas racing circuit as part of a scheduled pre-race inspection and approved the circuit for “Grade 1” status, hence appropriate to host an F1 race.

From ground level, you can't see too much of 3,4,5 from there. Maybe little glimpses as cars flash by narrow gaps, but that would be about it. From up high in the bleachers? )COTA is saying they will not allow walk-up admission to the circuit, even with a ticket. There are a couple of places saying they have agreements with COTA to allow access for people from those properties, but nobody will provide anything written as verification. So that's a little risky, imho. I wish I had better news. But about parking. What you guys think is best to do.Drive from New Braunfels and try to park the car around the track (not on a $200 parking place) or would this be impossible?
