Ferrari F2012

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

And vice versa... All quiet on the western front.
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

F1.Ru wrote:It is easy to figure, just you have to see the ending of the engine cover, which now features a small hot air exit, much like McLaren. In previous race i.e. Monza F2012 has no such things, its engine cover end just over the beam wing, but now they end a little further forward and have a gap for hot air exhaust ................... :D
The engine cover may or may not be new. But, the feature you've described has been used off and on for a while now.

I have been asked about front wing Angle of attack adjustment, here's a very close picture of how it's done:

As far as I remember the hole is approached with screw whose 360 degree cycle means 1 degree up or down, respectively 180 degrees turn is 0.5 on the main flap.

Ferrari have new front and rear wings in Singapore. The rear is different in every way - main plane, flap and endplates, plus extra strakes

well they have to blame it on something...mind as well be teh wind tunnel...
they have to either upgrade the thing, or build a better one, it's clearly not working and ever since testing BAN ferrari have been hurt the most.

hopefully next year will have the fastest car from the beginning of the season...

Unless I'm missing something, I don't see anything new about the front wing. The flap's AoA is lower, but that's about it.

With the exception of the strakes along the bottom of the end plates, the rear wing looks the one they've run all year at high-downforce circuits.

Is it just me, or do they have three different rw here?
